Matthias is a Munich based film director, with an experience of more then 20 years in various positions in the film industry. He studied directing and screenwriting at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He is focused on authentic documentaries and won therefore already important prizes. Like the Int. Emmy Award.
Born in 1982 at the Franconian country side, he considers himself lucky growing up without a cell phone, spending most of his time in nature doing all kinds of sports and developing a passion for seeking new challenges and a spirit for adventure.
He is obsessed with everything that feels genuine and authentic, light-footed and spontaneous. He has a true craving for capturing rare moments, understanding their magic and turning them with the art and craft of visual storytelling into emotional joy rides.
Matthias is grateful to have shared incredible journeys with amazing people who have contributed their skills to bring his visions to life. It is to them he dedicates his awards.
In addition to that, he ́s addicted to playing cornhole.
