about nik summerer

nikolaus summerer started his film career the traditional way: lighting technician, grip, clapper loader and camera assistant. he worked as camera technician in the camera rental department at arri münchen, and then as technical supervisor at the camera service center (csc) in new york, before studying camera at the munich film school hff. for his graduation film "unter der sonne" nik was nominated for the "deutscher kamerapreis 2006". it wasn't long before his unique talent was also recognized internationally, when he won the kodak vision award at the slamdance festival in 2007. since then he has been busy developing his skills and experience via work on numerous commercials, corporate films and features in europe and abroad. nikʼs second feature film, „das letzte schweigen“ („the silence“), premiered in germany in 2010; and was later released throughout europe. again his unique cinematic language received critical acclaim; in particular from variety, screen international, and the hollywood reporter. nik speaks fluent english.
