About Christoph Iwanow

Chris grew up in East Germany and studied Media and Fine Arts at Bauhaus University. He has his roots in the lighting department and operated Steadicam for many commercials and European co-productions that took him around the world. Today, he shoots features and commercials for Shein Shanghai, Unity Montreal, BMW and VW, among others. In addition to shooting beauty themes and table tops, Chris has a penchant for high speed and CG. He speaks German, English and Brazilian Portuguese.

Parallel to his own shootings, Chris started to operate Steadicam and so got in touch with numerous DoPs and various technics and styles.

Chris is the DoP half of the duo UP&CO, and is based in Berlin.
